…Don’t Have The Motivation To Work Out Alone …

Some people find it hard to motivate themselves to work out alone. Fortunately, you don’t need to train solo – there are many ways to exercise with others. This could help to give you the motivation you need, although you do need to be certain that you choose the right kind of people to train with. Here are just several ways to exercise with other people.

Find a training buddy

Finding an exercise buddy can be a great way to motivate yourself to keep training. This could be a friend or a family member. If one of you is struggling to find the motivation to go to the gym or go for a jog, the other can offer encouragement. Ideally, you want to find someone who is roughly the same ability as you so that one of you is not demotivated by the other. You should also try to set a schedule that you can both make on a weekly basis.

Join an exercise class

Another way to work out with other people is to join an exercise class. This could be anything from a spin class to an outdoor boot camp to a water aerobics class. Exercise studios and gyms (which often contain studios) are great places to find exercise classes – you can see more here at this site. Exercise classes give the camaraderie of lots of people that can sometimes be even more motivational than just having a single exercise buddy.

Hire a personal trainer

The likes of exercise classes and even training buddies may not be suited to those with specific personal exercise goals. In such cases, hiring a personal trainer can be a much better form of motivation. Personal trainers can help you follow a personalised workout plan and they can provide the encouragement you need. Most personal trainers are based in gyms, but many are willing to offer exercise sessions for clients out of the gym. You should do your research to find a trainer suited to your needs – many of the best trainers specialise in a certain area and may be able to provide more specialised workout plans as a result, however they may charge higher rates.

Compete with others using apps

Using an app on your phone may not seem like a very social way of working out, but it can be. Some fitness apps allow you to compete with other users online. Others are more collaborative such as running apps that allow users to share routes they’ve found. Such apps could allow you to connect to be locally and even other people around the world – whilst you may not be getting face-to-face social interaction, it could be enough of a motivation to help you when otherwise working out by yourself.

…Great Gains With No Animal Pain: Tips For Vegan Bodybuilders …

The stereotypical image of the vegan is less than flattering. When many omnivores, especially those with an interest in fitness think about the vegan diet and lifestyle, they often assume that eschewing animal products will result in a loss of their workout gains. Whatever evidence is provided to the contrary, the image that pops into most people’s minds when veganism is mentioned is of a pale and skinny person with thin, flyaway hair and little to no muscle definition to speak of. Not only is this inaccurate, it’s borderline offensive. In an age where we have access to such advanced nutritional supplementation, there’s no reason why those concerned about ethics, the environment or their own health shouldn’t at least give veganism a try.

While a vegan diet certainly presents challenges when aiming for your dream physique they are as easily surmountable as any you’ll encounter on an omnivorous diet. And if you’re undergoing a fitness journey, it would be hopelessly naive to assume that you’ll never encounter bumps in the road no matter what you’re eating.

Here are some tips for getting great gains without animal pain…

Always be learning

In the digital age, there’s a plethora of information out there to help you on your fitness and nutrition journey. In fact, there’s so much information out there that you’ll find some stuff that completely contradicts what you’ve just read somewhere else. And why not? Not all human bodies are identical and what works for one fitness blogger may not work for the next… or for you. That’s why we recommend learning from a variety of sources. As well as checking our own blog regularly, be sure to read other blogs like healthandfitnessvitality.com. No fitness routine benefits from being in an echo chamber!

Macros and maintenance

Most plant based foods tend to be low fat, low to moderate protein, high fiber and high carb. And this can present challenges when balancing your macronutrients. Fortunately, the right supplementation can help you to redress the balance when it comes to your macros. Invest in protein powders that use a variety of plant based protein sources (e.g. soy, pea, rice etc.). Swapping out rice for high protein grains like quinoa can also help you to keep your macros balanced as can incorporating fatty vegetable foods like avocado into your meals and smoothies.

It’s also important to keep an eye on the amino acid profiles of the foods you eat as not all plant based protein sources are complete proteins.

Go easy on the processed foods

Manhy nascent vegans rush out to buy processed meat substitutes in order to fill the meat-shaped gap in their lives. Yet, while these may seem appealing (and can be very tasty) you may find that some of the less prominent entries on the ingredients list can offset your gains. To get the most out of a vegan diet, stick to wholefoods wherever possible.

Yup. keep it whole to get swole!

Make your workouts like… Joe Pesci in Goodfellas!

Finally, for optimal success in vegan bodybuilding, remember to keep your workouts just like Joe Pesci in Goodfellas… Short but intense! This will help prevent loss of muscle mass when working out and keep your body from relying on protein to get through tough workout sessions. A longer workout may elevate your body’s protein needs, which could get more difficult when your protein sources are more naturally sparse.
