Surround yourself with like-minded people…

Having people around you who are all working hard to obtain their goals allows you to have people who can help push you and support you so you can reach your success.

This does not just pertain to the gym…this can be in all aspects of your life!

You will need people who can help push, motivate, and encourage you!

Those people who have similar goals to your will do what they can to help you succeed.

If they do not want to help…you should probably find some new friends!

You can do like the picture above. Place quotes, words, or saying around your house, office, or at school

You can email motivational things to yourself…or there are applications and other programs that will send you daily motivation if you sign up for it.

Staying motivated is one of the key things needed to help keep you on track with your goals!

It is so important  that you remember why you started your journey!

Because only YOU can help you reach your goals!

Stay focused…stay dedicated…stay motivated!

You can not eat fried, fat filled, unhealthy food and expect to lose weight!

Eating right has to be consistent!

…Swallowing Problems…

There are so many eating disorders or eating disabilities (such as swallowing problems (Check out Dysphagia.org.uk for more info!) which can be caused by accidents or decreased health situations)  that MANY people suffer from on a daily basis.

 These types of issues can inhibit someone from achieving the optimal healthy lifestyle.

These kinds of issues must be dealt with and handled with the help of a physician or professional!
If there is one thing i have learned over the years it is:

You can NOT help anyone who does not want to be helped!

If you have a friend of love one who is suffering from a disorder or disability, do not force them to seek help!

You have to show your support and suggest ways for them to get better.  THEY have to want to get better in order to fix any problems that they may have.

Just like with weight loss and reaching health and fitness goals…YOU have to want to make the change in order to start eating right and working out.  No one else can do it for you!

YOU (or your friend) have to want to make the change in order for the change to happen!

No one can change your lifestyle or your health but YOU!

The moral of this story is:

No matter what kind of friend you have

…a friend with a eating disorder or disability…

…a friend who wants to start living a healthier lifestyle…

YOU have to support them and HELP them!

Forcing them or demanding them to make a change or to do something about their life can make them more resilient and you could also possibly LOSE that friend!

So the best thing you can do for them is BE A FRIEND! Support them, walk with them day to day with their struggles, encourage them, and when the time is right you can help them in the ways that they need it.

…Complain = Remain the same…OR…Train = Make some gains!…

…Everyone has an excuse as to why the can’t workout/eat healthy…

“I Don’t Have Time.”

did you know they have 24 hour gyms!? so now you can plan your day on when you CAN find time to workout!

“I’m Too Tired.”

…if you start working out regularly studies have shown that people GAIN power, strength, energy, and endurance to get them through their day!

“I Don’t Get a Break From the Kids.”

…did you know that some gyms offer day care! Or you can ask a local church, friends/family,  or seek other options to find child care for an hour so you can work out!

“Exercise Is Boring.”

…then you must not do the right things!  There are so many FUN options available for you to workout and have fun at the same time! Can you honestly tell me that Zumba is NOT fun!?

“I can’t afford it.”

…if you can not afford a monthly gym membership try workout videos or even trying to create your own workout to do at home!

“I don’t want to get bulky.”

…SORRY LADIES!  Doing simple exercise and strength training will NOT get you big and bulky…

“I don’t know how to exercise.”

…this is your ONE and only time it is OK to be a stalker!  Go to the gym and look around and watch what other people are doing!  DO not try to lift as heavy as they are but you can try some of their moves.  Or you can Go to the gym and ask a worker or even other people working out for some suggestions!  

 

Any more excuses?

I have an answer to resolve it!!

Today is the day to recover from all those great snacks you had

while watching the super bowl game yesterday!

It is OK if you allowed yourself to have an extra hot dog or a few extra chips

It is nice to have the things you enjoy every once in a while

BUT TODAY is the day to get back on track with your healthy eating habits and your workouts!

Keep working towards your goal!

Do not get upset if you did not stick close to your diet, it is OK!

Instead of dwelling on what you did…get up and go do something about it today at the gym!
