…Making your OWN gym…

Sometime it can be costly and harder to be a member of a fitness gym.  The monthly membership fee can be a hassle but if you have a long commute to the gym that could also make it harder for you to stay motivated to workout.  There are some great “At Home Gym” options that people can consider.

Although it may cost you more money upfront, if you plan on regularly using gym equipment in your home it may save you money over an extended period of time.  AND this equipment can also be used by your friends and family which can save even more money when you get more people to use your equipment.

You can find many different brands and companies that offer a variety of machines and other fitness equipment.  They key is to find something that will work best for you and your fitness needs.  You also have to consider how much space you will have to store the equipment that you would like to purchase.  This is also another important factor because some companies offer collapsible machines that can be  folded and stored in closets or under your bed or in another small space that you have in your home.

There are several brands that you can choose from (such as Technogym and Sole Fitness).  When purchasing equipment you have to do your own research to see which brand will work best for your needs and fitness goals.  It is always suggested to find a good piece of equipment to do your cardio on.  It is nice to be able to do your cardio outside but as the winter months are quickly approaching , the opportunity to workout outside will be limited.  It is also suggested to get some weights and resistance bands.  You can mix and match several different exercises and techniques to get a well rounded  strength training workout.

Owning a home gym is not ideal for everyone, but it is a good option for those who have the extra space and means to do so.  Gyms you can become a member of may offer more machines and classes for you to participate in.  You have to find out which will work best with your schedule, your fitness plans, and your wallet.
