On this site, There is a lot of talk about your health and fitness.
Well DUH that is what this site is all about!
Speaking about health and fitness, there are so many aspects of health and fitness that you can talk about and discuss. Today I would like to talk about a very important aspect of health and fitness that most people would not think is important but it is!

Yes I said Insurance! Do YOU have insurance?
I know that most people have the mind-set of “oh nothing will ever happen to me” or “I will figure it out when i need to”. But you should figure such things out NOW!!
You NEVER know when you will have a health emergency and having insurance can save you a TON of money. Can’t afford insurance? Well, some offices offer a sliding scale that they base on your income that can help cut the cost of their office visits. It is important that you know your options when it comes to getting coverage for yourself or your family!
There are tons of private companies that you can find on the internet such as http://www.aviva.ie. And most employers offer a package if you are an eligible employee. It may be another expense each month, BUT it is a much-needed expense that you should be paying. Also, if you are going to pay for your insurance each month make sure to take advantage of the opportunities you have with your insurance company!
This can include a regular health and wellness check up once a year, eye or dental exams once or twice a year, dental cleaning once or twice a year, and any other visits that may be covered in your plan! Most companies allow you to see a certain type of doctor one, two, or three times a year and all you pay when you get there is the co-pay. Like i said terms and conditions vary between insurance companies but making that payment each month is well worth the investment of being able to get health care when needed!

Not to mention if you need to go to the ER room. Depending on your plan, your insurance company will cover a certain percentage of the bill leaving you with MUCH LESS that you will have to pay out-of-pocket for hospital and doctor fees!
And medical insurance is not the ONLY type of insurance you should have. You should also have car insurance (which is required by law in most states). You can get insurance for you home and renters insurance for those who rent your home. Renters insurance is also a great idea just in case there is a burglary, fire, something else goes wrong at your apartment. You will have all expenses covered that will allow you to purchase new clothing and other items that were lost. They also have travelers insurance to cover you during the time you are traveling!

There are SO many options when it comes to insurance. If you have any doubt, confusion, or question, find an insurance company that seems to fit your needs and financial budget and give them a call! So if you DO NOT have insurance look into getting some! You never know what will happen tomorrow but it is wise to be prepared just in case you need it!
