When I got these headphone I was VERY skeptical as to how they worked and if they were indeed a good quality product.

Upon getting these headphones I was VERY surprised as to the design and how these headphones worked.

Looking on the website they have a wide range of headphones that vary in different prices. The women “Inspire” headphones that are pictures above are $59.99.  This is a VERY reasonable price for the quality of product that you are getting.  Compared to cheap $10 or $20 head phones that I have personally purchased, these headphones are of a higher quality and they are worth every penny that you spend on these headphones.

I received these headphones a few months ago.  But before I shared them with you guys I wanted to put them through my own personal test.  This included my intense cardio circuit workouts, my long distance early morning jogs, and even a long distance race that I recently ran for a local charity.  During all activities I have ZERO issues with the headphones.  They were very comfortable and did not fall out or hurt my ears at all.  On top of the being comfortable they provided quality sound from my mp3 player.

Like I said before, I am a HUGE fan of whey proteins.  I have tried quite a few brands and I would have to say I am pretty picky about which protein I choose to include into my diet.  There are a lot of factors that I take into consideration when trying new proteins and I would have to say that I am very impressed with what this protein has to offer.

Looking at MySupplamentStore.com this product cost $44.99 for a 2 lb tub.  This price is about average with any other website or store where this product can be found.  For higher quality protein you will expect to pay more.  So for this type of protein the price is very reasonable.  The saying “you get what you pay for” can be applied when you are looking to purchase your supplements.  You do not want to spend too much BUT you want to spend enough so that you know you are getting a good quality product. (not to say that all expensive products are a great quality BUT most of them  are).

Quality:

The overall quality of this protein IN MY OPINION is great. The consistency of the product is not too think and not too thin.  This is both in the powder form AND when you mix it with water (or milk or whatever you choose to mix it with).  It was a little thicker than most proteins that I drink BUT it was so yummy it seemed as if I was drinking a shake.  I would def blend this with ice to have a shake if I wanted a sweet treat late at night. They important thing is to DO YOUR OWN research when you are looking for supplements to add to your diet.  Each person has different nutritional goals so you will want to find the products that work best for you.  I will HIGHLY consider purchasing this product the next time I need to re-stock my protein supply.

Taste:

The taste of this protein is AMAZING! I was only able to try the chocolate cake flavor but it indeed tasted like a liquid form of chocolate cake!  (and yes I could even taste the frosting! LoL).  It is a stronger and more distinct chocolate flavor.  Different from other chocolate flavor proteins that I have gotten to try.  This protein would rank in my favorite top 5 when it comes to taste!  And that is the honest truth.

Overall I was VERY pleased with this product.  They have various flavors to choose from and from the other reviews that I have read it seems to be a pretty good product.  I personally really like it and I hope to be able to purchase some the next time I re-stock on my protein supply.  If you want something that taste great and has a pretty good macro breakdown I would highly suggest this product! I would purchase this to drink AND to cook with. Yuuuuummmmm… I am already thinking of SO many ways to use this product!!

Overall Comments:

In all actuality this is a great idea….HOWEVER…I am on a pretty strict diet and if I had a choice I would rather consume my protein in a meal instead of in a shot.  This would be great for those who are on the go and need to get the extra protein into their diet.  This would also be great for those who need a boost of protein but do not have the time to sit down and eat a full meal.  So using this product had a lot of perks!

The packaging of the product is very easy and convenient.  It has an easy pull tab and you can squeeze or such the protein shot right out.

They say that this product is FDA approved (which does give the product some merit since it was tested and approved.  BUT it does not mean too much since the FDA approval system has its own flaws).

They also have a shot that contains caffeine to help give you an energy boost.  So if you need the extra energy boost trying the caffeine shot at the start of your day or before a workout can give you a little extra push.

Price:

The price for this product is kinda high.  For one box of 24 – 1 oz. shot packs is $48.00.  That is a steep price for 24 servings of 15g of protein.

Let me put it to you this way… a can of tuna fish is 5 oz of meat and cost around$0.99.  It it about 113 calories, almost 25 g of carbs, and 0g of carbs.

With ONE shot of Frog Fuel you get 60 calories, 15g of carbs, and 0g of carbs for about $2.00 a shot.  The only major difference (in my opinion  is the price.

I did not see a huge difference with the sampled that I tried.  If I had a whole box and used it regularly I may be able to see a difference in my everyday energy levels and to see if the protein shot did indeed give me the boost.

Quality: 

The creators of this product say it is a high quality type of protein that is fast absorbing.  So this would be something good for those who need something on the go or to use at a sporting event.  I tried to do a little research on some of the information that was provided by the site.  I did not find anything that says it was a “superior” type of protein.  I didn’t find anything that said it was a bad protein either.  It will all be based off of preference and if you try this product and like it.  I did not get to try a whole bunch of it so I can not make a solid decision on it being “the best” protein to use.

Taste:

The taste was OK! It was not horrible and it was not amazing.  At first the berry taste is strong and favorable at first.  The after taste has a small bite at the end and it does leave a slight taste in your mouth for a few minutes.  But it is nothing that will make you want to gag or spit it out.  It is liquid shot (not like a gel or pudding).  And it has a similar taste to red bull (in my opinion).

Overall it was an OK product.  You would honestly have to try this product out on your own to see how you like it.  My nutritional needs are different from most people so I would not benefit very much from using this product regularly.  But, there are other people out there that might love this item and use it regularly.  It was nice to get to try this product and I would consider having a pack in my bag when I run a Tough Mudder or another obstacle race.  They are small and you can toss them into your gym bag or purse.  They are very practical for those who need to get more protein into their diet.

Overall Comments:

I was very surprised by the variety of items they allowed me to try out! But I was also excited to see that it was the ‘Raw” brand items.  I have seen them several times but I have never been able to try them.

I do wish that I was able to try another flavor besides vanilla but that is OK.  The vanilla flavor was not bad but it is not the best tasting I have had.  It was your typical vanilla flavor and it was actually kind of gritty.  I did mix the Raw Meal and the Raw Protein in cold water (you have the option to mix it with milk or almond milk).  It was not a chalky taste (like some other proteins and meal replacements I have tried).  I am use to just “chugging” my protein shakes and that is the best method to use if you want to use these products.  The taste is not the best, but it is also not the worst.  It is for sure not a shake you will want to sip and savor the flavor with.

The Vitamin Code product were actually nice.  I did take my usual vitamins with it.  But i enjoyed that the product is made of all natural products.  I did not like that you had to take 4 of these capsules.  So if you do plan on purchasing these you may go through the bottle pretty fast since you have to take so many.  My stomach is sensitive to some supplements and this product did not give me any problems at all.  It did not leave a weird taste in my mouth or make me feel weird at all.

Lastly, i also got to try the Perfect Food Raw Green Super Food.  I naturally do not have a problem with my energy levels during the day.  And with the product I did not notice a big difference.  The product claims to give you more energy but I did not see a big boost (I usually get 7-9 hours a sleep a night and my diet is pretty clean.  I rarely have “tired” days).  I mixed this packet with water and I tried it with juice.  I recommend taking it with something that has a flavor or good taste. It’s not an awful taste (but it does not taste good either).  Some people enjoy the “super green” flavor…But it is not for me.  But I have no complaints about the product.

Price:

The products are relatively cheap (compared to other similar products that are on the market).  The prices range from $24-$33.  You do have a CHEAP same day shipping option (at $4.99) and they do ship internationally.  Looking online, BestPriceNutrition.com is one of the cheapest places to get these products.  I would suggest finding a small amount and trying out the flavor before you go buy a larger container of these times.  The taste was not the best for any of them but some people may enjoy the “different” taste.

Quality:

These products seem to be of good quality.   They are made of certified organic products.  Per a representative from the company this is what they had to say:

What were my favorite products from BestPriceNutrition.com?

These two items were my favorite and I would consider purchasing them for personal use.  There was nothing wrong with the other two items I tried.  The flavor was not my personal favorite and that is a huge factor in me disliking the product. But I would suggest that any try the products for yourself to see how you like them. I can only share my honest opinion about my experiences with the items.

I had the pleasure of getting to try out these Vapur Anti-Bottle collapsible water bottles

Overall Comments:

When I saw these I was INSTANTLY excited!

Being an avid gym goer I HATE that my car, gym bag, and gym locker get cluttered with bulky water bottles.  The fact that this water bottle can fold down flat OR be rolled up and stored was a great feature! It is a space saver! The lid also has a clip on it so you can attach it to the outside of your bag (or to anything else) so you can find it easily.

The bag is pretty think and very durable.  There is a seal under that cap that prevented water from leaking.  AND the cap was easy to remove.  I do not know how many times i have struggled with the lids to my water bottles!  The design makes for a simple and leak proof lid.  They do have some anti-bottles that have regular lids and they also have some anti-bottles that have a water filter in them so you can get filtered water when you squeeze the water out.

Looking on their WEBSITE you can see that they have many different colors and varieties to choose from!  The great thing about this product is that you can toss it in the freezer, they are dishwasher safe, AND they fold or collapse for easy storage.

This is a GREAT product to take with you when you travel or have to fly! With the TSA flight rules you can not take any liquids with you when you go past the security check points.  You can simply roll up the bag, toss it in your purse or carry on bag, and pull it out and refill it once you are waiting at your gate.  This is EXACLTY what i used mine for.  I have been traveling quite a bit the past few weeks and instaed of carrying around my bulky water bottle i decided to travel with my Vapur anti-bottle.

Price: These are VERY affordable!!!!  I would say that they are the same price as most water bottles you can find at your local store or on any other online site. On the Vapur website their products run from $7.99 to $13.99.  You can purchase the water filter for your anti-bottle but that is a little more expensive.  That will cost around $69.99.  The Vapur MicroFilter safely removes 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria (such as Salmonella, Cholera and E. coli) and 99.9% of protozoa (including Cryptosporidium and Giardia).  You can also purchase “sweaters” and extra caps.

THEY DO HAVE A SALE GOING ON and have some anti-bottles on sale for $4.99! 

Quality: I have had the bottles for a few weeks and i use them regularly. They have withstand everyday use and they are very easy to clean.  I will wash it out and scrub it with a bottle brush OR toss it in the dishwasher.  The pouch is made of a very durable material.  I did fill it half way with water and places it in the freezer.  In the morning I would take it out of the freezer and fill the other half of the bottle with water to help keep the water cold.  And that worked perfectly.  This has all of the regular functions of a “regular” water bottle.

Not only did they fit great but the sounds was amazing! (YES some of the best headphones I have tried in a while!)

They stayed in place while I worked out.  I used them on my light days and on my heavy workout days and they passed the test with flying colors! They stayed on place and were very comfortable to wear during my whole workout.

Price: You can purchase these headphone for $29.99 on the Koss Website.  This is a very reasonable price for the quality of these headphones.  This price is about average with other headphones that you can find at the store.  So they are not overly priced OR under priced (in my opinion).

Quality: Like I stated above the quality of these headphones is great!  They were very comfortable, they stayed in place, and the sound quality was great.   I have not had them for a long time but I have used them regularly for the past few weeks and i have not had any problems at all with them.

The items that I got were the Oakley Tank Top and the Grey leather Jacket!

As you can see I was trying to create an outfit that you can go out to work (for those casual days), to the store, or just out and about on those days you have a BIG “To Do” list.  These tops can be paired with a nice pair of jeans, black pants or tights, or even some running tights (like the pair I have on in the picture).

The key was to be able to have something that is versatile and that you can wear for more than one occasion.

My goal was to have an outfit you can wear during the day and then head straight to the gym and have a cute outfit to workout it.  So you do not have to carry several bags of clothes.  It allows you to go from one place to another and cut down on the time that you need to find clothes to change into!

I am ALL about multitasking and if I can multitask an outfit to help me during the day it quickly becomes one of my FAVORITE and frequently worn

Price: Looking on FreestyleXtreme.com they have AMAZING prices for all of their items.  They even have a clearance section (one of my favorite section in ANY store!).  NOTE:  Their prices are in British pounds (i.e. £17.99) so keep that in mind when you are looking at their prices.  1.00 GBP = 1.54 USD

They have TONS of items to choose from and they are all at very reasonable prices.  The prices can be easily compared to those in other similar stores (like pacsun or quicksilver).  So you can for sure know that they are not trying to over charge for their products.  They accept all major credit cards and they also accept PayPal!  So it makes it easier to target more buyers by having more purchasing options.

Quality: The quality of the items that I got are VERY nice.  The jacket is well made and fits great ( I am wearing a size Medium in the jacket and a Small in the top.  The top is very stretchy but the jacket actually is a perfect fit for my body type).  The tank to is a very good fit and is made of a stretchy material.  It makes the perfect workout shirt or a shirt to wear anytime!

Texture/Feel: These items feel great!  The jacket is somewhat leathery and VERY soft.  The Oakley top is soft and stretchy.  They both feel and look great!  These items are honestly great to wear any time of the year!  I would probably NOT wear it when it is snowing outside, but I would consider wearing it if it is cold/chilly outside.  The jacket is pretty heavy duty and thick.  It should keep you warm on the chilly days or on a cool windy day.  I wore it all day at work and took it off when I hit the gym.  It was very comfortable to wear for a long period of time.  I even spilled some mustard on my jacket at lunch time and it wiped right off without staining.

Overall the items that I received are great items.  If these items are any indication of the overall quality of the other products they have on their site I would give this company two thumbs up!  I would HIGHLY recommend at least checking out their site and see what they have to offer!  I am a HUGE bargain shopper, and like I stated before they have a great selection of items in their clearance section.   So take a few minutes to go check out what they have!  You may find something you like!

1st Step Pro Wellness  created this product to help people to produce a NATURAL energy burst during the day when they needed it the most! This product is a Vitamin B12 complex is healthier than most energy drinks or supplements that you can find at the store today.  It does not have the mixed compound of unpronounceable ingredients on the label of the bottle. This is a healthier option and they say it comes without the heavy “crash” feeling you have after other caffeine products wear off.

Overall Comments:

To be honest I am personally VERY sensitive to caffeine and any other ‘energy boosting” types of foods, drinks, or supplements.  So naturally I am not too enthusiastic or willing to try any items that contain energy boosting stimulants.

When I received this product I was very impressed with the overall look of the product.  I personally have NOT tried  other products like 5-Hour energy, energy Monster drinks, etc.  I have had Red Bull BUT I usually only have one when I am driving and I feel myself getting tired/sluggish.  So I want to be honest and say that I can not compare this product to many others.  I do not drink coffee and I mostly drink decaffeinated teas.

When I first opened the product it did have an inital pleasant smell…but it did look like cough syrup (as in the thicker texture of the drink compared to Red Bull).  It was not a strong smell, but it did have a pleasant smell.  Upon tasting it, I was not disappointed.  It had a very nice fruitful taste and the taste was not over powering or bitter.  So they for sure created a taste appealing product.

I feel that I naturally have a lot of energy to get me through my workouts and get me through my busy day.  I do take some B Vitamins to boost my energy but I did not take them on the day I tried this item.  I will say I did notice a slight increase in energy, but nothing too overpowering.  So for those who need a little extra push in the morning I personally think this would be a great thing to have if you need it!

Price: LUCKY for you these can be found at your local Walgreen, Kroger, or Bi-Lo (if you have any of these stores in your area).  You can even purchase them on Walgreens.com! For this kind of product it is very reasonably priced.  It is not too expensive but it would cost you just as much as regular vitamins would at the store.  So ultimately it would be your personal preference but I do urge you to try it out!

Smell: It has a very nice pleasant fruity smell.   It was not too strong and not faint.  I did enjoy that it had an appealing smell.  It makes it more encouraging to want to drink it! If it smells good…usually it taste pretty good!

Taste:  It was a nice pleasant taste.  It was not too overpowering or dull.  I feel like for me it was just right.

Quest Bars are a HEALTHIER protein bar option for those of us who like a good LOW CALORIES, LOW CARB, LOW SUGAR, GOOD PROTEIN bar to have in between meals or as a meal replacement.

Quest Bars was kind enough to send me some of their bars to sample and try.  I was VERY  excited to try these bars since I have heard so much about them and since I was looking for a good protein bar to add to my diet while I am training for my next bikini competition.

Overall Comments:

I have honestly tried over a DOZEN different types of protein bars that are available.  I have not enjoyed any other brand as much as I have enjoyed these Quest Bars.  They do indeed have one of the BEST nutritional profiles of any protein bar I have tried and they have the BEST flavors (that actually taste great!)

Unlike other protein bars the taste was not chalky or stale.  Other bars I have tried do not have much of a flavor at all, but every bar I tasted was very enjoyable.  The average carb per bar is around 20 grams, it also have about 20 grams of protein, and the calorie range is from 180- a little over 200 calories.  This is a great nutritional profile for anyone who has a pretty strict diet or who has to monitor their macros.

The best part…place the bar in the microwave for about 30 seconds and you get a warm treat that taste just as good as the real thing!

They did just come out with protein peanut butter cups that I have not gotten to try yet!!! When I order more protein powder I will for sure order a few to try out! So far I have heard great things about them and can not wait to substitute them into my diet as my luxury item for the week.

Price: I have been able to find boxes of the different flavors for about $24.99 (on the Quest Bar website, other online shops and at vitamin shoppee).  Some other online carriers may sale them for a few dollars more so you will just have to shop around for the price that fits you (and some sites give you free shipping when you purchase a certain amount of items).  You will get 12 bars in the box so that makes each bar about $2.08 each.  That is a very reasonable price for the great quality product that you are getting.  You can also get them individually for about $2.39 a bar so you will save a little money by finding a flavor you like and getting a whole box.

Smell: each bar does indeed smell like the indicated flavor. the smell is not strong but they do indeed smell appetizing.  The bars are not super soft and then again they are not very hard.  They have a nice thick consistency to them but when you heat them up they soften a bit.

Taste: I have tried all flavors for these Quest Bars and they all taste great.  They all taste very  much like the indicated flavors and not anything like a protein bar.  They are not chalky or dry in flavor.  The only flavor that i disliked the most was the Coconut Cashew (because I am not a huge fan of coconuts but I tried it out anyway) and the other was the Cinnamon Roll.  With the Cinnamon Roll I was expecting a little more flavor/punch and it was the only bar that was a little bland for my taste.  Don’t get me wrong it was good…it was just my least favorite because it was not as good as I had hoped for.  My favorite flavors are the Chocolate Brownie and the Peanut Butter Supreme.  Both taste great and are packed full of flavor.  They satisfy my “candy bar” cravings (and my random chocolate cravings” and once heated they taste like warm brownies.  They are for sure my favorite!

Be warned the wrappers are slightly noisy.  I tried to open one in class and had to just wait until class was over to open it because in a quiet class room the crackling noise did become a distraction.

Overall Comments:

When I hear they made this flavor I IMMEDIATELY bought it.  I LOVE RED VELVET CAKE.  That is my “go-to” junk food when I allow myself to have it.

My Number 1 pet peeve with protein powders when you first get it…..fishing for that stupid scoop that has settled in the bottom of the canister :-/

Price: I got the 2.47 pound canister of powder for around $24.  This is actually a pretty good price if you ask me.  I am on a budget so I did not mind the price at all.  BUT BE WARNED!! Other stores (like GNC, wal-mart, and other grocery stores) may carry Muscle Milk products but they cost $10-$20 MORE in the store!  I know this because I did some research.  When I was out shopping I would make sure to compare prices and I have found that Vitamin Shoppe currently has the best price on their items.

Smell:  To my surprise it smelled JUST LIKE red velvet cake.  I honestly did not know what to expect. I have tried some pretty crappy protein powders so when I ordered and got this powder I did not want to have high hopes for it.

Taste: The taste was OK.  It tasted like the cheap pre-made red velvet cakes you can get at the supermarket freezer section.  It was not very flavorful and the powder was thick! which made the shake somewhat chalky (More than I Like).  So one day I had a bright idea…I had some chocolate  whey protein left over from another favorite protein powder that I use so I mixed 1/2 scoop of chocolate and 1/2 scoop of red velvet….IT WAS HEAVEN IN A GLASS!!! It was the taste I was looking for.  Mixing it with the other powder I had cut down on how chalky it was and enhanced the flavor so much more! I also tried it with 1/2 scoop of vanilla whey and 1/2 scoop of red velvet and it also tasted VERY good.  Mixing it with the chocolate whey was my favorite!

I do NOT take all 3 scoops that is suggested on the back of the label.  I train for bikini competitions so my calorie and carb intake have to stay low.  So with ALL of my whey proteins that I take I only take ONE scoop in a glass of water.  When I am in off season I will use milk but I am more partial to almond milk because it has less calories but still give me the “milky” consistency that i like.  If I make a protein shake I will use almond milk and water.

But overall the product alone was too chalky for me.  I am use to thinner protein powders.  The calorie intake was a little too high for my preference but I will for sure mix the 1/2 scoop chocolate protein with the 1/2 scoop red velvet to help me control that.  It did not have a very strong taste.  Not as strong as I was expecting hence why I tried the 1/2 scoop mixture which seems to work very well for my preference and I will do that anytime I use this protein powder.  It was for a very reasonable price.  I have not tried to cook with this protein powder (as I have made protein pancakes and muffins with my other protein powders).  I may try to cook with it in the near future if I can find a recipe that will be suiting for this flavor.
