Our story is somewhat similar in that I’m also 5’10″, and I used to be what I thought was fit…but I wasn’t at all. It wasn’t until I had my 3rd child that I turned things around and found was “fit” really is…STRONG:) You are a wonderful inspiration!

I’m slim but I do have a few problem areas. I’ve also got a bit of loose skin too from having babies that I can’t do a huge amount with unfortunately, but I do a lot of cardio, and have recently started more strength training

Yep I follow you and you ways of thinking and I believe that a lot of us feels the same way.
Im 5’5 and at the moment Im around 136 Lbs. That’s in my opinion WAY too much and almost all my life I have been around 128-130 lbs.
Im a mom, almost 34 so yes my body has changed from giving birth to my son. Even though I know that I would be happy to be back at my “normal weight”. I think I should be around 126 but I know thats probably not going to happen any time soon ;-(
In January 2013 I started to get more resistant to doing my training but I have always been active I just went from 3 times a week to 5 times a week. I have been doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred at home. I got to level 3, day 5… then I hit a flue, was overloaded at work and a little stress so I didnt have the energy and time for finishing.
I know thats no excuse – my problem is Im really bad at sticking to a routine, a workout and so on. I do it for a certain time, consistently and with lots of drive and then Im burned out somehow.
Luckily I eat decent and mostly clean so thats way I have gained any extra weight since my “little fitness break”.
I like lifting mixed up with cardio and luckily I can see some difference on my biceps and a little on my abs.
Not clearly enough.
Well.. enough said. I think Im trying to say that I need to have someone know make my countable if I dont stay to the program or gives me the golden way to stick to things.
I want a change, and you could say that “well if you wanted bad enough you would stick to it”.. is that really it ? that simple? If so how come I fail all the time?
I think its great that you have shared your story :-) Thank you for doing that! I also think its so great that there are homesites and blogs like this for the rest of us to read, get inspired and to get motivated off.

My blog is in danish but always feel free to visit it any way if you like to.

I feel like I’m where you were at before you started your fitness program. I’m 5’4″ and I’ve always sort of weighed between 135 – 145 lbs and been a little flabby. Skinny-fat, really. In the last 4 years I’ve bumped that number up to 162 Lbs. Thank you food blogging and being in a committed relationship with a self-professed exercise and outdoor hater. I’ve started going to the gym and working out on the elliptical (also LOVE Jillian Michaels) – but a serious wrist injury has prevented me from doing a lot of the things I want to do fitness wise.

Anyhow, I’m working on it now but, like you, I’m having trouble being consistent. I’m working on it because it really does mean a lot to me to be strong and fit and I want ripped arms. haha. I want to feel good. And it’s already helping. But man – It’s difficult to find the time. I know, I need to MAKE the time.

…I just wanted to say how much your story resonated with me. In a very long drawn out response, evidently. ;)

xo!
